The interactive tables let you choose which measures and which sites or trusts/boards you wish to display or download. The colour coding shows the extent to which a result is higher or lower than the Great Britain (GB) mean. One in 20 results would be expected to fall between 2 and 3 standard deviations (SD) from the mean by chance alone, and one in 500 outside of 3 SD. The colour coding is not available for downloaded custom tables, but tables containing all results for all measures and colour coding can also be downloaded at site level and trust/board level.
How to use the interactive tables
All columns are displayed by default, but you can use the drop down list to select or deselect what columns to display.
For additional display options click on the three dots next to the column name or right click on the column name. This will bring up a menu where you can:
- Sort the column in ascending or descending order (a small triangle next to the column header indicates if it has been sorted). You can also sort by clicking on the column header.
- Group by the categories in the column, for example by maternity unit types.
For the clinical audit result columns, 'Group by' groups the results by cell colour.
- Use filters to display only certain rows, for example sites with a particular neonatal unit designation.
To filter the clinical audit results, select a filter type and enter a numeric value without % sign or quotation marks (i.e. enter 5% as 5, not as 0.05).
To apply any filter, make sure you click 'Filter' at the bottom of the drop down menu. The header of a filtered column will turn to bold italic font.
To download your custom selection, click on the 'csv' icon in the top right of the table.
